Place d’Armes

Weekends from 4PM to 6PM, the Place d’Armes will host the APÉRO CLASSIQUE series. Saturdays and Sundays, 20 ensembles will interpret with brio a vast repertoire of tunes ranging from the classics to contemporary creations. An exceptional concert will christen the celebrations: On Saturday July 1st, the Montreal Organ Festival will set up an organ in front of the Notre-Dame Basilica. Curious eyes and ears will be able to discover the versatility of this instrument by tuning in to a public demonstration followed by a projection of silent films on the spot. Also, for the first time ever, Tango fans will be invited to come listen to Argentine melodies and dance along during all four Sundays of the month of August.
